This week’s dry heat has melted slightly into an overcast and muggy day once again. We walked around the local green space, where in the first field golden buttercups and snow-white daisies have erupted despite the grazing cattle that have resided there the past few weeks, while magenta foxgloves and red campion stand high in the hedges..
Butterfly chasing is great fun to snap some pictures of the common blues which flit around, and then a restless cinnabar moth with bright scarlet wings that finally settled on the ground for a few moments. We saw all the colours of the rainbow on today’s walk.
